Event Navigation

The 2018 MOBA National Conference & Business Fair was held in January 2018 with the introduction of a Business Fair. The Guest Speaker was Dr. Andrew Ananie Arkutu (’55) and in attendance was Alfred P. Addaquay (’04) who led the participants in the singing of the School song and hymn.

The MOBA National Conference is held to comply with Article 5 Section 1 of the MOBA Regulations which states that:

(1) The National Executive Committee shall in each year call a general meeting of MOBA which shall be referred to as the annual National Conference in addition to any other meetings in that year, and shall specify the general meeting as the Annual National Conference in the notices calling it, and not more than fifteen months shall elapse between the date two Annual Conferences.
Various reports presented at the Conference included that from the MOBA National Executive Committee, MOBA USA, MOBA Central Region, the School and the 2017 SYGs Speech Day Planning Committee. In his address, Ebusuapanyin Capt. Paul Forjoe (’73) urged Year Groups to meet their financial obligations towards MOBA. The Guest of Honour Dr. Arkutu spoke on the topic “My days at Mfantsipim, and what Mfantsipim means to me!”

Fraternity messages were received from the Methodist Church Ghana, Wesley Girls High School Old Girls Association, Presbyterian Boys Secondary Old Students Association (Odadee), St. Augustine’s Past Students Association (APSU) and the Accra Academy Old Students Association (Bleoo).

An open forum saw a number of “Old Boys” asking the Headmaster, Mr. Manfred Odro and Ebusuapanyin Capt. Paul Forjoe questions on issues concerning the School and MOBA.
